ABOUT ODESSA

Based on the Black Sea in southern Ukraine, Odessa is a port city known for its architecture, culture, and tourism. Founded in 1794, but with origins stretching back to the 6th century BC, it’s known as "The Pearl of the Black Sea”. The city’s stunning 19th-century architecture, including the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre, lines open boulevards filled with life and a distinctive charm. All set above the monumental Potemkin Stairs, which were immortalised in Sergei M. Eisenstein’s 1925 film "The Battleship Potemkin", marking the location of one of the most famous sequences in motion picture history.
