As one of Russia’s most successful actors, Alexander has carved out a career spanning wide-ranging roles both on screen, and on stage. Born in the small town of Pereslavl-Zalesskiy, he initially entered the University of Pereslavl and studied in the Faculty of Economics, however following a chance encounter with a teacher from Russia’s Academy of Theatre Arts he was inspired to leave his studies, and enroll in Drama School in Moscow (GITIS Theatre Academy). Upon graduation, Alexander worked on stage in productions such as: THE MERCHANT OF VENICE; Alexander Kalyagin’s adaptation of ET CETERA; HAMLET directed by Valeriy Sarkisov; and as ‘Lopakhin’ in THE CHERRY ORCHARD at the Moscow Pushkin Theatre. His screen work has firmly established Alexander as one of Russia’s finest actors & a leading box office star. In 2017, he starred in the hugely successful sci-fi feature film ATTRACTION, directed by Fedor Bondarchuk.
