Ana Radu

Ana Radu is a Romanian film and theatre actress who was born on the 24th of April 2000 in Bucharest. She graduated from the National University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in 2021, and afterwards received her master’s degree in 2023. Ana began her acting career at a young age, when in 2010, she played her first role in the movie ICRE NEGRE. Other notable roles in films include: MEDA OR THE NOT SO BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS which received the Heart of Sarajevo Award at Sarajevo International Film Festival; OTTO THE BARBARIAN directed by Ruxandra Ghițescu; as ‘Viviana’ in the television series THE BREAK: LAST NIGHT IN BELFAST; and as ‘Emilia’ in the thriller feature TIBI, which was directed by Dan Iliuta. In 2021, Ana was nominated for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award at the Gopo Awards (the National Romanian Film Awards) for her performance as ‘Anca’ in Dan Chișu’s 5 MINUTES TOO LATE. Since then, she has frequently performed on the stages of both the Bulandra Theatre and the Nottara Theatre in Bucharest. Ana is currently playing the part of ‘Miruna’ in the new season of a well-known Romanian television show called CLANUL.
