Carlotta Gamba
Carlotta Gamba began to express her passion for acting, singing, and drawing from a young age. This led her to explore theatrical studies at the scenographic theatrical high school in Turin from where she graduated. After moving to Rome, she continued her training at the Silvio D'Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she worked with numerous renowned Italian theatre directors. She made her film debut in 2021 in AMERICA LATINA by the D’innocenzo Brothers, which premiered in competition at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. In 2022, she made her stage debut, and she was also cast in the role of ‘Beatrice’ in DANTE, a biographical film dedicated to the life of the poet, which was directed by Pupi Avati & Sergio Castellitto. In 2023, she was cast alongside Fanny Ardant in the feature AMUSIA by Marescotti Ruspoli. Carlotta played the lead role of ‘Lucia’ in GLORIA! the debut film from Margherita Vicario, which had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin Film Festival. She also featured in the Sky Original series DOSTOEVSKY, which marked her second collaboration with the D’innocenzo Brothers. Carlotta participated in the 81st Venice Film Festival where her new film VERMIGLIO premiered. Directed by M. Delpero, it is the Italian submission for the Oscars. She has recently completed filming on the movie L’ALBERO, directed by S. Petraglia, which will premiere at the Rome Film Festival, and she is currently filming on Marco Bellocchio's next project.
