Dimitris Kitsos

Dimitris Kitsos grew up in a small town in Northern Greece. He begun acting on the stage at the age of 18, while he studied Rural and Surveying Engineering in college. This inspired him to change his path, and he quickly enrolled in the National Theatre of Greece to study acting. While he was there, he was chosen as the lead role in his first feature film PARK, which was directed by Sofia Exarchou. The film premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, and also led to Dimitris’ first nomination for the Best Actor Award at the Hellenic Film Academy. His other work includes: OCTAVIO IS DEAD, a Canadian film directed by Sook Yin Lee; DOG by Yianna Americanou; as ‘Dimitris Tsirkas’ in the comedy series ON ALL 4’s; and the drama feature LISTEN, which was directed by Maria Douza. Dimitris is perhaps best known to international audiences for his lead role of ‘Thanos’ in the first Greek Netflix mini-series MAESTRO by Christophoros Papakaliatis; and opposite Romain Duris & Cecile de France in the Amazon Prime series GREEK SALAD, which was directed by Cedric Klapish.
