Gonçalo Coré

Gonçalo was born in Lisbon and attended the French school Lycée Français Charles Lepierre, where he completed his education, becoming fluent in French and English in addition to his native Portuguese. During his high school years, he studied theatre at three different institutions simultaneously. He made his film debut at 16 with a small role in Rui Simões’ PRIMEIRA OBRA and played his first major role the following year in João Nuno Pinto’s 18 BURACOS PARA O PARAÍSO. At 18, he moved to Paris to train at the Cours Florent drama school, becoming the first international student to join its highly selective Tremplin Class. At 19, he was selected to participate in the Portuguese Film Academy’s initiative Passaporte and went on to play the prominent role of ‘Gabriel’ in Justin Amorim’s TAPETE VOADOR.
