Julien de Saint-Jean

From an early age, Julien had a passion for acting. He entered the Lyon Conservatory at the age of 15, and later joined the Superior School of Dramatics Arts of Paris. His studies were cut short when he left after a year to star in MISE A NU, a film directed by Didier Bivel. That same year, he collaborated again with Bivel for the filming of the series EMMA BOVARY. Julien followed this with LIE WITH ME by Olivier Peyon and THE LOST BOYS by Zeno Graton, which was featured in Berlinale’s 2023 Generation section. For his performance in it, Julien was selected for the Révélations César 2024, an award recognising outstanding breakthrough performances by young actors in the French film industry. In 2024, he joined the cast of THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO as ‘Andrea’, a character rescued from attempted infanticide and transformed by the Count into a charming prince to further his vengeful plans. Directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière, the film premiered at Cannes Film Festival, receiving a 12 minute standing ovation and achieving one of the best box office records for a French film with over 8 million admissions. In 2025, Julien will star in DELICIOUS, a Netflix project directed by German director Nele Muller Stofen, and in Régis Wargnier's new film LA RÉPARATION. He is currently filming the series MERTEUIL, directed by Jessica Palud, which is an adaptation of Dangerous Liaisons for HBO MAX.
