Karyna Khymchuk

Karyna is a Ukrainian actress currently based in the UK. Born in Rivne, Ukraine, she graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, where she studied directing and performance. Later, she continued her training at RADA in London. Her recent screen work includes: in URCHIN as ‘Ramona,’ directed by Harris Dickinson in his feature-length directorial debut. It premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize. The film is a social-realist character study about a homeless man navigating addiction and recovery. She also starred in ON FALLING as ‘Yulia,’ directed by Laura Carreira, which premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and won the Sutherland Award for Best First Feature at the London Film Festival. Additionally, Karyna played roles in STORM SCHOOL; as ‘Sveta’ in KINGS OF RAP; and the lead in DO YOU LOVE ME, which was part of the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival and won Best Film in the International Dramatic Competition at the Mastercard Off Camera Festival. Fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, Karyna brings emotional depth and precision to her performances. Alongside her film work, she has appeared in theatre and independent projects both in Ukraine and the UK, continuing to develop a strong international career defined by authenticity, physical expressiveness, and cinematic presence.
