A native of Odessa, Ukraine. Kate has been an actor since her first film performance at age 15 in I LOVE MARCH 9TH. She continued to work steadily since her debut in that film, but it was her leading role as ‘Niurka’ in Nana Dzhordzhadze’s MY MERMAID, MY LORELEI, which solidified her status as one of Ukraine’s most dynamic and versatile actors. Her other credits include: the feature film HUTSULKA KSENYA by Alena Demianenko; the role of ‘Fanny Kaplan’ in MY GRANDMOTHER: FANNY KAPLAN which was directed by Alena Demianenko - and which earned Kate a nomination for the Best Actress prize at the Ukrainian Film Academy Awards; ‘Veronica’ in THE MIRACLE OF ROZCLADOM; WE ARE HERE WE ARE CLOSE playing the role of Marianna; the titular role in …AND JULIET by Anar Azimov; the short film EVERYTHING, NOTHING AND SOMETHING ELSE directed by Marina Kondratieva; and as ‘Sasha’ in the German feature film BENZIN by Oliver Mohr. She can next be seen playing the part of ‘Maria’ in the drama RIVER EDGE by Vasyl Barcof. In September 2021, Kate was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine by the country’s President.
