Laura had her first role in the legendary Lars Von Trier series THE KINGDOM which ran from 1994 - 1997, and made her big screen debut in the children’s film WATCH ME FLY in 1996. She quickly established herself as a household name in Denmark in the hit shows ISLAND COP; TAXA as ‘Fie Nielsen’; and later in the youth drama MIDSOMMER. Laura played a young mother in Paprika Steen’s directorial debut AFTERMATH, for which she was nominated at the Danish Academy Awards in 2005. Other roles include: the hugely successful series THE KILLING; the coming of age drama LIFE HITS; THE CANDIDATE which was directed by Kasper Barfoed; Lars von Trier’s NYMPHOMANIAC: VOL. II; and playing the role of ’Sara’ opposite Pilou Asbæk in the romantic drama CRYING FOR LOVE, for which she won the Danish People’s Choice Award. In 2016, Laura played the lead in the second season of the Norwegian thriller MAMMON, which was directed by Roar Uthaug. Laura’s latest work, the Tobias Lindholm series THE INVESTIGATION, was named the best international TV show in 2021 by Variety, and she was nominated for a Danish Film Award (“Robert”) for her portrayal of ‘Maibritt Porse’ in it. Laura will return to her frequent collaboration with Lars von Trier in THE KINGDOM: EXODUS, and she is currently shooting the drama series THE HOUSE, which is directed by Frederik Louis Hviid & Michael Noer.
