Morten Burian

Morten Burian is a Danish actor, who was educated at The National School of Performing Arts. Since graduating, he has worked extensively both on stages throughout Denmark and abroad, performing in multiple productions including: TIGERLILLIES PERFORM HAMLET; the 90 minute monologue ROCKY which played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; LIVING DEAD; UTERUS, which earned him the prestigious Reumert Stage Award; and the lead role in a contemporary German adaptation of HAMLET, which he performed at Staatstheater Darmstadt. Earlier this year, Morten received rave reviews in Denmark for his performance in CANNIBAL at The Danish Royal Theatre. His film and television work includes: FOLLOW THE MONEY which was directed by Søren Balle; RIDE UPON THE STORM; the role of ‘Peter’ in the Netflix feature LOVING ADULTS; and playing the part of ‘Christian’ in Ulaa Salim’s thriller SONS OF DENMARK. Morten performed what many would regard as his breakthrough on-screen role this year as ‘Bjørn’ in the feature film SPEAK NO EVIL. Written & directed by Christian Tafdrup, it premiered at Sundance to critical acclaim. He can next be seen in the feature BASTARDEN, directed by Nikolaj Arcel; the series IN THE NAME OF LOVE; and EN AF DRENGENE for Viaplay.
