Valeriia Karaman

Valeriia was born in the town of Bendery, Moldova. Following a brief move to Yakutsk, her family eventually settled in the Ukrainian city of Kherson. As a teenager, Valeriia attracted the attention of a model scout, and after signing with an agency, she spent the next few years based out of Paris where she worked as a fashion model for an array of international fashion brands. Valeriia’s breakthrough acting role came about when she was cast opposite Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson in the feature film THE LIGHTHOUSE, by acclaimed American director & screenwriter Robert Eggers. The film had its world premiere at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, and received widespread praise from critics. Most recently, Valeriia played the role of a female assassin called ‘Tiko’ in the thriller EGREGOR by Stas Kapralov. She has also completed filming on the Ukrainian science fiction feature CHRYSANTHEMUM DAY, which is directed by Simon Mozgovyi.
