Zofia Stafiej

Zofia is a Polish actor who was born in Warsaw. In school, she showed a keen interest in acting and was actively involved in the drama department until her graduation. Following that, she spent 2 years living in Dublin, Ireland, and in October 2018, Zofia formally started her acting studies at film school in Lodz, Poland. Zofia’s breakthrough role was in the Polish/Irish feature film I NEVER CRY (JAK NAJDALEJ STAD) directed by Piotr Domalewski. She played the role of 17-year-old protagonist ‘Ola Hudzik’ in it, and since it’s premiere in September 2020, she has received widespread critical acclaim for her performance. The film tells the story of a young polish woman (Zofia) who must travel to Ireland to bring her father's body back home after he died working on a construction site - and what she learns about his, and her own life along the way. Zofia has won numerous awards for her performance, and she is the recipient of the Michael Dwyer Discovery Award at Dublin Film Festival; the Best Actress Award at the Goa International Film Festival in India; and also the Best Debut Actor at the Polish International Film Festival. At present, Zofia is preparing for her diploma performance show with the director Adam Orzechowski.
