Ana Padrão
Ana Padrão is one of Portugal’s most well-known actors, having appeared in more than eighty films so far throughout her career. She graduated from the Superior School of Theatre and Cinema in Lisbon, and quickly established herself as an in-demand actor on both television and film. Fluent in several languages, Ana was chosen by the Oscar-winning director Susanne Bier to play the role of ‘Constanca’ in the feature film drama FAMILY MATTERS. Other previous work includes: the role of ‘Séverine’ in 1871 by Ken McMullen, which premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes; THE STONE RAFT, directed by George Sluizer; Laure Charpentier’s GIGOLA; as ‘Maria Iva Delgado’ in OPERATION AUTUMN by Bruno de Almeida; CAMPO DE VIBORAS; and A BRUXA. She played the role of ‘Cordelia Delgado’ in the pilot of Amazon’s THE DARK TOWER, an adaption of the popular novels by Stephen King, which was directed by Stephen Hopkins. Ana won the Portuguese Golden Globe Award and also the prestigious Sophia Award for Best Actress for her work on the feature film JOGO DE DAMAS, and in 2016, she added a Portuguese SPA Award for her performance in Bruno de Almeida’s CABARET MAXIME.
