Anastasija Marcenkaite

Anastasija is a Lithuanian actress who was born and based in Vilnius. She began her career at 11 with a lead role in the acclaimed feature film THE EXCURSIONIST, directed by Audrius Juzenas, for which she won the Silver Crane Award for Best Actress. Since then, she has appeared in the TV mini-series IN ETERNAL FRIENDSHIP, directed by Stefan Bühling, THE ROMANOFFS, directed by Matthew Weiner, and the award-winning feature THE OWL MOUNTAIN. She also starred as ‘Princess Elisabeth of Wied’ in the animated historical documentary THE MAN WHO KNEW 75 LANGUAGES. Anastasija holds a BA in Theatre Acting from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2018–2022), where she trained with renowned Lithuanian actors and took part in masterclasses led by internationally recognised artists, including Steven Ditmyer (Meisner technique) and Derek Barnes (vocal performance). Since graduating, she has performed in productions at leading Lithuanian venues, including the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, National Kaunas Drama Theatre, and the Lithuanian State Youth Theatre. Driven by her curiosity about people and life, Anastasija pursued journalism at Vilnius University, earning her Master’s degree in Social Sciences in 2025. Beyond acting, dance plays a significant role in her career – she trained in ballet for 12 years, performed in major Lithuanian musicals, and studied tango, contemporary, and other dance styles.
