The prolific Norwegian actor Kristine Kujath Thorp has made an unforgettable mark in the landscape of the Nordic film and TV world. Her stellar performance in SICK OF MYSELF by Kristoffer Borgli took her to Un Certain Regard in Cannes in 2022, and provided her with numerous acting awards across the international festival circuit that year. Kristine’s tour de force lead performance as ‘Rakel’ in the feature NINJABABY in 2021, directed by Yngvild Sve Flikke, earned her an Amanda Award (the Norwegian equivalent of the Academy Award). Her latest feature is the powerful costume drama THE PROMISED LAND in which she stars opposite Mads Mikkelsen, and which was directed by Nikolaj Arcel. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival to critical acclaim. Kristine has just completed a Norwegian feature SAFE HOUSE, a story about the brutality of doctors without borders in the midst of warfare which was shot in South Africa and directed by Eirik Svensson; and an American-Norwegian feature opposite Johnny Flynn, Gustav Lindh, and John C Reilly, called A PRAYER FOR THE DYING which is directed by Dara Van Dusen.
