Sandra was born in Svendborg on Fyn in Denmark. Having attended youth theatre, she auditioned and successfully landed the leading role in the feature film WILDLAND. Directed by Jeanette Nordahl, and written by Ingeborg Topsøe, it was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, where it received its world premiere in the Panorama section. Sandra’s superb central performance as teenage orphan ‘Ida’ garnered her significant critical acclaim, including from Variety, which referred to her as a “simmering presence”. She was nominated for a Bodil Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the film. Other credits include the shorts: HOLLOW HEART which was written & directed by Emilie Marloth Frøkjær; I WANT YOU TO PANIC by Nina Holmgren; and THIS IS HARDCORE. Sandra played the role of ‘Mathilde’ in the third and final season of the Netflix drama THE RAIN. She recently filmed on the Danish series PHANTOM FEELINGS, created by Rikke Kolding and Anna Juul. At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Sandra was in two short films which made the official selection - the Danish short film INHERENT which was chosen for International Critic's Week; and IN THE SOIL, which was in competition for the Short Film Palme d'Or.
