Sasha was born in the city of Donetsk in Ukraine, but he grew up and currently lives, in Kiev. With both of his parents involved in the film industry, his childhood was spent around film festivals and the ready influence of cinema. His first acting experience was in Olias Barco’s feature POLINA ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SILVER SCREEN which had an international cast including Edouard Baer, Virginie Ledoyen, and Severija Janušauskaitė. It was shot in both English & French on location in Ukraine. Following that, Sasha initially decided to study architecture, but soon found that he missed acting and made the decision to pursue a career in the arts full-time. His credits include: SALT FOR THE SEA, directed by Snizhana Hysarevych; FATHER DAN by Christina Sivolap & Iryna Gromozda; and the series TO SEE THE RAINBOW YOU NEED TO WAIT OUT THE RAIN. Most recently, Sasha was cast in the Ukrainian feature film STOP-ZEMLIA. The director, Kateryna Gornostai, employed extensive workshops with her young cast, and Sasha found this in-depth approach to preparation and exploration of character immensely rewarding. The film premiered at Berlinale, and has gone on to win numerous awards around the world, including Best Film, and Best Ensemble Cast at this year’s Odessa International Film Festival.
